Wow. Epic combats. Sound really fast and intense. Out of interest, have you been using the rules for the infection? If not, they're in the Sampler under the stats of the Runner Don't get clawed Gary... don't get clawed...

I have used the soldier and surviour stats too already for some generic npcs as well as creating original stats for more potentially core npcs

Sessions 6 and 7
after the battle they moved on up the road only stopping to hitch another trailer they found. Gary asked Bryan to use his truck to ram the barricade which worked due to his experience as a builder he knew how to look for a weak spot in a structure. Driving away from the estate back to base Gary took the lead again. Because of a lack of concentration he did not the the stingers that had appeared in front of him, causing him to burst all 4 tires and crash into a small car, the other broke just in time.
It was an ambush!! * people half with pistols and half with bats working in pairs attacked. Killing Kelly straight away and injuring Bryan. Gary jumped out of the van onto the unthreatened side and unleashed three rounds into one of the armed attackers killing him, while unbeknownst to him his partner was coming around the other side behind him and hitting him in the ribs. But he was soon gunned down.
Bryan holding on held his own downing a couple, while Kim and Geoff who were in the last vehicle with an unconscious Lydia. Kim jumped out and killed one and moved up the convoy using the second vehicle as cover, meanwhile Geoff was protecting Lydia. After Kim pushed up Geoff jumped up and shot from afar helping Kim to kill the others. Geoff was the only one lucky enough not to be injured.
Silence soon fell and they quickly gathered the weapons and the stingers but before they could retrieve anything from the van the gunfire had attracted the numerous infected from the nearby Derriford Hospital. They jumped din the car as the infected bundled through the bushes and chased after the vehicles. A lucky escape.
Getting back the trucks were unloaded and they relayed the information of what they had found and emphasized about the infected that had found them.
It took a day for them to get over the worst of their injuries thanks to the Hyde's medical expertise. Gary and Thomas talked about as a long term the fort is not a suitable place and they will need somewhere bigger. Thomas thought of Bickleigh Barrack where 42 Commando are based.
The next day Gary, Kim, Thomas and 9 soldiers traveled to the Barracks. They arrived to find it unearthly quiet and the gates were open!? No sign of people anywhere, that was until they got nearer the Accomodation area where they waited in the car park area and used the trucks horn. Waiting the soldiers took aim as over a dozen bursters waled around the corner. The hail of fire shredded them apart leaving a terrible mess. They had found a couple of families in the accommodation blocks. They had described that the village which has a population of 50 people, were taken in and housed inside the barrack's fences. But the 42 commando had to head out leaving minimal people to man the barracks and they were unable to defend themselves against the numbers that entered, these families barricaded themselves in a section of one of the blocks and stayed there until now.
Deciding that Bickleigh Barracks could be a better long term solution they decided to send some of the soldiers back to bring everyone back from Fort Austin. While those that stayed behind checked the perimeter and buildings.
Gary and Kim decided they would stay a week before heading on. Asking if they could take a 4x4 they have spent time sorting it out ready to leave.
