Here's a thread where you can post your concepts for PCs that you want to create - or even NPCs that you want to put in your games (or pit against your players).
Here's one to start it off:
I want to create a mercenary captain. A hard-bitten, brutal SOB who has gained the respect and loyalty of his men through five years of caring about no-one else.
He's got a unit of some 22 tough dudes from a variety of backgrounds and units, who have been through hell time and time again, and might be considered uncaring, harsh and downright nasty people - yet they know the captain would lay down his life for them in a heartbeat, and they share the same bond, even if they half hate each other most of the time. It's the only thing sticking them together.
They are mercenaries, but they are also occasional bandits and warlords. They've been through the ringer. The only thing keeping them going is the fact that they'll never let anything stand between them. They all would die for each other, even if they despise each other. Even if their comrades have committed a terrible crime, they will band together - because that's the bond. They'll punish their own, and they won't let anyone else do it.
It's a fragile, delicate relationship that binds them. There are a handful of rules they stand by, and to break those means death at the hands of their comrades.
The captain is someone of some morals, who yet intends to create a new civilisation out of the rubble one day. He gives people chances, but has been burned so many times that those chances are one-offs. You screw up, and there are no more chances for you.
I'm liking the concept.
