Here is a great suggestion. Feel free to obviously campaign in your home town if you want, but let's say you want an area not out by you. That is where Google Earth is going to help. Let's say I want to set my campaign in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is west of Detroit. I don't know much of the area, but Google Earth would help me out and then also give me streets and such.
Using this as a basis, I can research real business and companies in a given area, or I can fabricate it using the basis of the street outlays for a realistic source to draw from.

Absolutely! That's totally what I do. I much prefer to campaign away from where I live - I'm just too familiar with this area.
